General Terms and Conditions of Sale – Cevennes Wine Tour
Cevennes Wine Tour is a registered brand of the company Cielle Bleue Events, founded by Mrs. Ciëlle van Dooren.
Any unauthorized reproduction or use is strictly prohibited.
Terms and Conditions applicable from February 3, 2026
-
Purpose
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTC) govern the services offered by Cielle Bleue Events within the framework of Cevennes Wine Tours, hereinafter referred to as “the Organizer”, consisting of the organization of wine tourism stays, vineyard visits, wine tasting tours in France, and, where applicable, the provision of related activities.
Cevennes Wine Tours notably offers:
- Guided visits to wineries
- Meetings with wine professionals
- Wine tasting tours and workshops
- Wine tourism stays including activities
- Seminars
- Food & wine pairing meals
- Visits and activities in the Cévennes region
These services may include additional services such as: meals, local transport, entertainment, conferences, etc.
The detailed description of the services is available on the website cevenneswinetour.com and in the personalized quotations.
The services offered do not constitute a package holiday within the meaning of Article L.211-2 of the French Tourism Code.
-
Scope of application
These GTC apply to all offers, reservations and agreements between the Organizer and the participant(s) (hereinafter referred to as “the Client”), whether individuals or professionals.
-
Reservation and confirmation
To make a reservation, the Client must return the signed quotation accepting these GTC.
A reservation becomes final only after written confirmation from the Organizer and receipt of the deposit as indicated in the quotation.
The Organizer reserves the right to refuse a reservation in the event of:
- insufficient number of participants
• unavailability of the estate or other requested activities
• requests not complying with safety or age regulations (alcohol reserved for persons 18+)
-
Prices and payment conditions
Prices are expressed in euros (€), all taxes included.
They include only the services mentioned in the description of the offer.
The following are not included (unless otherwise stated):
- transport to the location of the stay
• insurance
• personal expenses
• drinks or meals not mentioned
Prices may be per unit (depending on the number of services/persons) or fixed-price packages.
If some prices are unit-based, the quotation may include a minimum billing amount (see following article).
If the price is fixed, the Client agrees to pay the full price regardless of circumstances resulting from their own situation: lower number of participants than expected, food allergies of certain guests, illness or incapacity of participants, reduction of duration, etc.
The Organizer reserves the right to adjust prices prior to reservation. However, prices confirmed to the Client remain fixed once the reservation is validated, during the validity period stated in the quotation.
Third-party services with negotiated prices included in the offer
For the convenience of the Client, the Cevennes Wine Tour offer may include services negotiated specifically for the Client, on which Cevennes Wine Tour does not apply any margin.
These are disbursements, such as: restaurant services, transport, conferences, etc.
These services are clearly identified as disbursements and may be subject to price variations beyond the Organizer’s control.
Any price variation will be communicated to the Client as soon as it is known. The Client may then choose to cancel the service whose price has changed.
Number of participants
The final number of participants must be communicated no later than 7 days before the activity date.
This number will serve as the basis for the final invoicing of unit prices.
Deposit
A deposit of 30% of the total quotation amount is required at the time of booking.
Balance payment
The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the start of the trip/activity.
For bookings made less than 30 days before departure, the full amount is payable immediately.
Payment methods
Payment may be made:
- by bank transfer
-
Minimum billing amount
When the service includes unit prices (for example depending on the number of participants), the quotation may specify a clearly defined minimum billing amount.
This minimum ensures the quality of the services and covers the Organizer’s fixed costs if the number of services invoiced on a unit basis varies.
If the application of the prices in the quotation leads to a total amount lower than the minimum billing amount, the minimum will apply.
By accepting the quotation, the Client therefore agrees to pay, under any circumstances (except in the case of duly justified force majeure or application of Article 8 concerning cancellation by the Client), the minimum billing amount indicated in the quotation.
-
Late payment
In the event of late payment, in whole or in part, of amounts owed by the Client, the Client will be liable, from the day following the payment due date and without reminder, for:
Late payment penalties
Late payment penalties will be applied at an annual rate of 10%, or the legal rate in force if higher.
These penalties apply until full payment of the amounts due.
Fixed compensation for recovery costs
In accordance with Article D.441-5 of the French Commercial Code, a fixed compensation of €40 for recovery costs will automatically be due by professional clients in the event of late payment.
If the actual recovery costs exceed this amount, additional compensation may be invoiced upon presentation of supporting documents.
Suspension of services
The Provider reserves the right to suspend ongoing services or refuse any new reservation until all outstanding amounts have been settled.
Acceleration clause
In the event of persistent non-payment after reminder, the Organizer may:
- demand immediate payment of all outstanding amounts
• implement the necessary debt recovery measures
-
Right of withdrawal (for private clients)
In accordance with Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, dated leisure, accommodation and catering services do not benefit from any right of withdrawal.
All reservations are therefore final.
-
Cancellation by the Client
Cancellations must be communicated in writing.
In the event of cancellation under the conditions below, Article 5 concerning the minimum billing amount does not apply.
Cancellation conditions
- up to 60 days before departure: refund minus 10% of the agreed price
• 59 to 31 days: 30% of the agreed amount is due
• 30 to 15 days: 60% of the agreed amount is due
• 14 to 7 days: 80% of the agreed amount is due
• less than 7 days or no-show: 100% charged
Please note that for stays including restaurant services, the restaurant partner’s conditions may apply.
Clients are advised to take out cancellation insurance.
-
Adjustment of the number of participants
As indicated in Article 4, the final number of participants must be communicated no later than 7 days before the activity date.
Changes in the number of participants
Up to 7 days before the activity: changes may be made free of charge, subject to the minimum billing amount (Article 5) stated in the quotation.
Less than 7 days before the activity:
- reduced participants will not give rise to any reduction or refund
• additional participants will be invoiced separately and must be paid before the start of the activity
On the day of the activity
Any participant added on the same day will only be accepted subject to availability, and additional costs must be paid in full before the start of the tour.
Absences or delays on the day of the activity
Any absence or significant delay by the Client on the day of the activity does not entitle the Client to any refund for activities not carried out.
-
Cancellation or modification by the Organizer
The Organizer reserves the right to cancel or modify an activity in the event of force majeure (such as extreme weather conditions, strikes, illness of guides, closure of estates, safety issues, etc.).
In this case, a suitable alternative will be offered (equivalent service or rescheduling) or the amounts already paid will be fully refunded.
-
Participation and personal responsibility
The Organizer makes every effort to ensure the safety of participants.
However, the Client remains responsible for their own behaviour during tastings and must comply with local rules and safety instructions.
The Organizer cannot be held responsible for damage or injury resulting from irresponsible behaviour, excessive alcohol consumption or negligence.
The Client must ensure that they are fit to participate in the proposed activities.
-
Travel documents and insurance
The Client is responsible for the validity of their travel documents and for taking out personal insurance covering:
- civil liability in France (if they cause damage or an accident)
• trip cancellation
• medical expenses in France
• accidents
The Organizer particularly recommends that foreign participants take out travel insurance providing these coverages in France.
-
Liability
The Organizer makes every effort to ensure the proper execution of the services.
However, the Organizer cannot be held responsible for loss, damage, accidents or delays caused by third parties or circumstances beyond its control, within the limits of applicable law.
